Now, this actually has an intentional meaning to it.
You know when you're sick, and you feel terrible, and nothing is right, and you don't want to puke but it just COMES OUT, and it's hard, but after you do it you feel so much better...?
I figured that was kind of like being gay. Coming out is hard, (and messy), and you don't really want to do it, but when you do, it feels SO MUCH BETTER.
Plus, sometimes vomit is a lot of different colours. Like a rainbow.
So. I attempted to make him look happy. But with all that spew coming out of his mouth, maybe he looks more drunk.
If you were going for happy, I think the slanting of the eyes took it in the opposite direction x D So yes- drunk, evil, and possessed seem to suit the face.
Love the whole thing PLUS the added bonus of the story. And you are crazy skilled at using that many mediums in coloring D: < (-ink first, water down acrylic base color, and pencil crayons for details/shading? in such order)
lol. Thanks for the , by the way! I think it was acrylic over the pencil sketch, then inks then pencil crayon. I cant really remember...I had wanted to paint the whole thing but I had a time limit. 8P Thankie thankie!
AHH! I love the colors : m I agree with Jared, you use them so well- I like it when I can decipher the yellows, reds, blues, whatever in a skintone : 0 You know what I mean? Kinda gross, kinda fun, kinda meaningful..lol' At first though, I thought he was barfin' tar or something |: m How many variations in barf is there? Never seen it quite so gray
Thanks so much. I really tried to do things out of the ordinary for me. This is definitely unlike anything else I have. And I'm actually stoked that you thought of tar!! My whole inspiration for this came from that greasy, rainbowy sheen that oil makes on water. I thought it was a fail but...you encourage me. XD
That's great that you were trying something out of the ordinary +_+ I've done that ma'self for the past few months in choosing flowers or animal forms as my subjects : U And as for people (oh my god, after reading that whole explanation on the particle "wa" as being most elegantly translated as "as for" just now, my brain is screaming "HITOBITO WA...."), i've been very tempted lately to make them part of a larger picture- there's almost constantly something in the foreground. There's just too many pictures out there where the person is the primary subject, as if they were placed for a photograph, and I much prefer the candid, natural look : m Woa +_+ That's gnarly~ In that case, the goal is achieved!! Don't get me started on rainbows and barf |: m After my encounter with Katamari Damashii last week I've thought about it a lot (The king of all cosmos sweeps you away on his rainbow upchuckery after completing your katamari)
